The Reels

Amanda's love for film has taken her on a journey through many on and off set roles. Her first love was Theatre, this is what bought Amanda to film through the craft of acting. Amanda has appeared on many Australian TV shows, commercials, and in independent films. She has been featured on network shows like ‘A Place to Call Home’ and in her early years ‘Home and Away’, ‘Wild Side’ and ‘Heartbreak high’. She has had the privilege of leading the cast of many independent feature and short films. Along with her film and TV work, Amanda has continued to keep her theatre chops fresh, playing the leads in theatre productions across Sydney including new Australian play ‘Hotel Hibiscus’ to wonderful reviews. Amanda is a NIDA, Meisner and Chubbuck trained actor, and in a former life, a member of a very successful UK based pop band. All these skills and experience help her to create wonderful and varied characters for film.

Whilst exploring her obsession with acting, Amanda ventured into theatre directing, and then turned her focus to the screen and has been making films ever since. Her 2013 short film ‘Dark Outside’ has screened internationally in New York, LA, Melbourne and Sydney, winning best film adaption at Sydney Short and Sweet Festival. Her music videos have featured on network TV and her earlier short film work is still being played around the world. She is one of the directors behind Dorothy Creatives, a company set up to create female driven content. Her extensive list of performance credits as an actor and performer has informed her strength on set when communicating to cast and crew. Amanda's body of work consists of Feature Films, TV Series’, Television Commercials, International Short Films, Music Videos, Theatre and Musical Theatre.
